Q: Who can participate in the Digital Storytelling Challenge?
A: The challenge is open to all students around the world who are currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or high-school. Participants can enter as individuals or in teams.

Q: What is the submission deadline for the competition?
A: All entries must be submitted by May 31, 2024. Please check our website for any updates or changes to the submission deadline.

Q: How should the videos be formatted and how long should they be?
A: Videos should be formatted for TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. Videos must not exceed 3 minutes in length.

 

Q: How do I submit my video entry?

A: Videos must be submitted via the form on our website. Please also ensure your submission is live on your own social media channels, and adheres to the platform's guidelines.

Q: What are the judging criteria?
A: Submissions will be judged based on clarity and effectiveness in conveying complex issues, creativity and originality, technical quality, and audience engagement. Most importantly, the judges will be looking for balanced, unbiased content that avoids any use of one-sided propaganda.

Q: Can I submit more than one entry?
A: Yes, participants are allowed to submit multiple entries, but each entry must be unique and adhere to the competition guidelines.

Q: What is the prize for winning the competition?
A: The 1st place winner will receive $2,500 and a feature on our official social media channels. The 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive $1,500 and $1,000, respectively. Participants who win first place will also receive a letter of excellence from the judging committee.

Q: How will the winners be announced?
A: Winners will be announced on our website and social media channels about one month after the May 31st, 2024 deadline. All participants will be notified via email.

Q: Can international students participate?
A: Yes, the competition is currently open internationally, to any students enrolled in accredited colleges, universities and high-schools.

​Q: Who retains the rights to the submitted videos?
A: Participants retain ownership of their creations, but by entering the competition, you grant us the right to use, share, and display your video for promotional purposes.
